I host residential and online retreats for writers, in partnership with Kath Morgan in Cornwall. We welcome writers from Cornwall, the UK and all over the world.
I’m a Trustee and co-Chair (from 2025) of the National Association of Writers in Education, an essential resource for writers working in education and community contexts.
I’m a Director of Arts Well, the social enterprise that champions the vital role of the arts, culture and creativity in supporting health and wellbeing in Cornwall.
I’m a member of the UK network that promotes writing and reading for health and wellbeing, with regional groups, a journal and events for people interested in this growing field.
Flushing and Mylor Pilot Gig Club
It isn’t all about writing. As a resident of Cornwall, I am an enthusiastic participant in Cornish Pilot Gig Rowing. I volunteer for my local club by editing a monthly newsletter, producing events, and singing in a shanty group. As a way to get out on the water, enjoy great company, exercise body and soul, and participate in the community, I cannot recommend this enough!
